Three Valleys Water is the largest water-only supplier in the UK, providing over 800 million litres of water every day to over three million customers. The company is owned by Veolia Water UK, part of Veolia Environnement (previously known as Vivendi Water and Vivendi Environnement), operating in 84 countries and employing over 300,000 people. It supplies water to an area from Saffron Waldon in the north through North London to Woking in the south. Three Valleys Water has been supplying water to the local community for more than 130 years. Colne Valley, Rickmansworth and Lee Valley Water companies combined forces in 1994 to form Three Valleys Water plc. The company grew again following a merger in October 2000 with sister company North Surrey Water, which was formed in 1973 from four founder companies. Every week about 7,000 tests are conducted on water from treatment works, storage reservoirs and customers' own taps. Drinking water in the area is of a very high standard. In 2004, over 99.9% of the regulatory tests carried out complied with the relevant standards. This page will been expanded soon |
